Installation & Deployment Technician

NASSAT (Network & Satellite Systems of Spain) is adding an Installation & Deployment Technician to a multidisciplinary innovation team developing a Spanish software platform for the smart management of territory, events and emergencies, based on digital twins, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and sensing. Project funded by the European Union (ERDF).

Field role: physical installation of sensors, SmartBox units, edge nodes and control centre displays, cabling and commissioning, in coordination with the IoT/Edge (software) and connectivity (network) teams.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission sensors, SmartBox units, edge nodes/gateways and display hardware.
• Cabling, mounting, power supply and minor adaptations at each site.
• Configure and verify equipment in the field, in coordination with the technical teams.
• Support phased deployment campaigns and on-site testing.

Requirements

• Qualification: Higher Vocational Training (CFGS) in Telecommunications, Electronics or Computing, or equivalent Technical Engineering degree.
• Proven experience of at least 2 years in installation, configuration or commissioning of connectivity equipment, edge nodes or field infrastructure.
• Signed CV specifying concrete projects.
• Desirable: structured cabling, PoE, networking fundamentals and device configuration.

Conditions

• Work mode: on-site (Seville), with regular travel during deployment phases.
• Schedule: full-time.
• Compensation: based on experience.
• Availability to travel.
