SKYTRAC extends Airbus H135 connectivity with ISAT-200A and DAL-200 systems

SKYTRAC Systems Ltd., a reference provider of aerospace connectivity and satellite communications solutions, has completed the first factory installation of the combined ISAT-200A and DAL-200 system on an Airbus H135 helicopter. The integration, carried out at the Airbus facility in Columbus, Mississippi, marks a significant step towards comprehensive connectivity for light mission-critical aircraft. The installation package will be available as an option on new H135 units and, in the future, may also be incorporated as a retrofit for aircraft already in service. This compatibility will allow operators to take immediate advantage of the combined SATCOM, Wi-Fi and LTE communications capabilities offered by the SKYTRAC solution. The ISAT-200A is a narrowband SATCOM terminal based on the Iridium LEO network, known for its reliability even in adverse operating environments. It provides voice, messaging, aircraft tracking and satellite push-to-talk functionality, whilst maintaining low latency and global availability. The DAL-200 module, when integrated with the ISAT-200A, extends the capabilities of the system through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, POTS and 2G-4G cellular network connectivity. Its interface with the Airbus Helionix system enables the automated download of FDM data and flight records both during operation and after landing, improving maintenance efficiency and performance analysis. This combination of equipment translates into direct benefits for operators in sectors such as air medical emergency services, search and rescue, and offshore services, where communications continuity and real-time data transfer are essential. The integration of the ISAT-200A and DAL-200 systems confirms the progress towards a more connected and autonomous aviation environment, in which light aircraft progressively adopt capabilities previously reserved for larger platforms. SKYTRAC thereby consolidates its position as a key provider in the development of onboard communications and data management solutions for the rotorcraft market.
